Our Associations aim is to provide encouragement and support to the member, spouse, family and carers.
The use of the lyrebird logo on our newsletter and documents represents the mimicry of sound, that is voice, can be achieved and recognised through other means. As the lyrebird is heard echoing in bushland, so can you be heard.
We hope to encourage speech through a group of people who can give little tips and hints to adapt to the loss of natural voice. Making it seem a little less mountainous.
Voice is gained by practice, more practice and then some more practice. Come and practice with us, gaining self-confidence in voicing, support and encouragement.
We all seek interaction with others via speech to convey out emotions, wants, needs and ideas.
The Associations' members would enjoy being part of that interaction.
The loss of your natural form of voice is frightening but also remember that you are not alone.

We publish a Newsletter, the New Voice, regularly with information and tips. With many years of experience, our laryngectomee members are willing help and support You.
